Socialism's Threat to America:
Socialism comes in different forms. It comes with different names. It has been called Socialism,
Communism, Liberalism, Fascism, The Left, Progressive, National Socialism, Democratic Socialism,
International Socialism, and the Democratic Party.
But the tenants are the same in many respects. The core philosophy is an economic idea about the
"workers" controlling the means of production. How does this happen in a complex society? It can't.
Therefore, someone has to redistribute the production. That means the state. By controlling the
economics of the state, the people in charge gain power over every other aspect of society.
In Italy and Germany in the 1930's this gave rise to "Vampire Capitalism," where the state didn't own
the means of production, they controlled it and drained it with regulations and taxes. Here the
government "partnered" with private industry to ensure "fair" use and distribution of resources and
profits. While called Fascism and National Socialism, the concept shared the same core beliefs as
Communism: the group over the individual. Modern leftists have called the "right" fascist, but that
would be a lie. Fascism is, and was, simply a variant of Socialism.
In the Soviet Union, China, Southeast Asia, Cuba, and now modern Venezuela, the state owns the
means of production by nationalizing industry. By owning directly all production, the state then
distributes goods and services as it sees fit. "From each according to his ability, to each according to
his need." This claim of equality results in the few dictating who deserves what, based on the elite's
view of who is deserving.
What do all these variations share? Communism, Fascism, Socialism, Liberalism, Progressivism, etc.?
The value of the group over the individual. Therefore the rights go to the group, not the individual.
The person submits to the will of the state and another word for that is slavery. You cease to have
the rights. Rights are no longer given to you by God and inherent in you, but rights are given by the
state and controlled by the state. What the state grants, the state can take away.
Socialism is, always has been, and always will be, anti American! America was founded on the idea of
individual freedom. Equal opportunity, not equal outcomes is the law here. But that is changing.
Socialism has been at work in Congress for many years. The Congressional Progressive Caucus, the
CPC, is the largest caucus in Congress. The CPC was founded by Bernie Sanders, a Democratic
Socialist from Vermont who registers as an Independent. An open Socialist, he now is one of the two
senators from Vermont. When a Representative joins the CPC, they are saying they believe in
Socialism and its advancement in government. Ex-speaker Pelosi was a member until she was
elevated to the speaker post. She was third in line for the Presidency under the rules of succession. Of
the 22 House Committees in the last Congress, 11 were chaired by CPC members. That's right people,
half of the House of Representative committees were chaired by Socialists! This was the foundation
of the first article ever written for The Quiet Conservative. It talked about the third political party
(Socialism) in Congress.
Socialism is a cancer on the will and mind of the people. It says the government creates jobs. It says
the government can drain the rich and give to the poor because they have the guns, the judges, and the
jails. It says to the individual you don't have to work, to try, to gain or to suffer, because the
government is the source of medicine, jobs, food, power, education, the right to life, etc.
But what goes unspoken is what the government gives, the government can take away. It can take
away your freedom, your children's freedom, and your grandchildren's. It now seeks to control
whether you get medical care nor not, can earn more than they want you to earn, what car you can
drive, how far you can drive, what you can eat, what you can say, what you can see on the Internet,
what you can hear on the radio, if you can speak of your religion in public, how you live every aspect
of your life. It promotes Socialism through the public education system and a recent Rasmussen poll
stated just 53% of Americans believe Capitalism is better than Socialism. This is how far the disease
has spread.
None of this is in keeping with any ideas of freedom or of the plan for America given to us by the
Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution.
You have been called out America. Which is it going to be? Is this nation going to be a free
nation of individuals? Or is it going to be a nation of slaves submissive to the state?
As for me and mine, I like America as a free nation of free people. I like the Founding Fathers. I like
the fact we had a civil war to finally secure the last troubling inequality of liberty. I like that after that
war we continued the struggle to seek equality of opportunity for all. As for me and mine, we will
serve the cause of freedom. For if freedom is not based on the individual, then there is no freedom at
all.
The Marxists in Washington have now nationalized health care, one sixth of the economy. They have
voted in the reconciliation bill to nationalize student loans. The difference between the United States
and Communist countries is shrinking fast. There is no time to delay in fighting back.
Then, there is Capitalism. That word has become a dirty word to the media. But what is it?
Capitalism can be summed up in one quick thought. Capitalism in its pure form is the complete lack of
a planned economy. It is the opposite of Socialism. It is a free market without interference.
Each company that I fund will require employees. Those employees will be the best I can find. I will
pay them what I need to retain them. The better they do, the more money I make. The more money I
make, the more people I employ.
That is how you create prosperity. Socialism is a disease that robs people of their chance to be
prosperous. Socialism is a parasite draining away this ability and you can see the proponents in action
every time Democrats in office speak. It is far past the time this infection was cured.
Government can create jobs- but only within itself. Those jobs are sterile. Governments do not create
wealth and a new government job means taxpayers are paying more than they did before. When you
see job growth in the public sector, you see the tumor growing that saps the vitality of the private
sector.
Socialism seeks to turn that growth into 100% of the workforce. Capitalism is freedom. Capitalism is
America. Socialism is a leaf bowl in a cage. Socialism is the slave chain. Socialism is the gulag, the
camps, and the crushing of the human spirit. Socialism is over 170 million dead in the 20th century.
It is on the rise here in America. But it all ends now. No one will alter or destroy America. Because,
America is a principle, not just a nation. America is freedom. It is a society based on individual
freedom and the American spirit will not consent to be crushed.
Say it: Never Socialism!
