Now in the waiting room a faceless bureaucrat thousands of miles away has the power over the care
of your family member.  Seventy five and a bad heart valve?  Too expensive to treat according to the
table or graph.  He might only have ten years left.  Control it by meds and send him home to die.
Defective heart valve on a nine month old? Should have been caught in ultra sound and aborted.  New
procedures and medications?  Not authorized. Need treatment today? Fill out the form and wait for
weeks.  Who do you protest to?  Who do you appeal to? There isn't anyone. People are just following
the rules. Just following orders.  There is no one to hold accountable.  You can’t argue with a form.
You can’t appeal what no one will take responsibility for.  It’s just the system to them. Not to you.
Nationalized health care means rationed health care.  There is no care for the individual, only the
group. Of course, this doesn't include the people making the decisions.  They will have other options
for themselves.  Those that hold power always do.  But you are not them.
If you agree to go along with nationalized health care. If you allow this to happen, then one day in
the waiting room, in the night waiting silently with the others, it will come to you.  You will know
what you have done.
